The Neuromodulation Clinic at Meadowfield Hospital in Worthing provides a treatment for depressive illness called Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, also known as rTMS.
You may be referred for this treatment by your doctor if other treatment options haven't been successful for you.
Treatments are given daily, five days a week, and usually take just over half an hour each time. A magnetic coil is placed close to the scalp to stimulate specific areas of the brain. A course of treatment continues for several weeks.
We provide rTMS in line with guidance set out by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE).
