At Acorn House we have high aspirations for all our tenants and strive to help them make real and positive changes towards independent living. We make it our mission to help everyone living here to be as engaged as they can be with their community and live a fulfilling life.
We will work closely with the tenant and those people important to them to form a person-centred plan, designed around the individual, which includes their goals and plans for the future and how we, and others, can help them achieve those goals.
Our dedicated staff will also pay attention to the minute detail required to make each day make sense and run smoothly.
When working with challenging or risky behaviour, we use a Positive Behaviour Support approach which actively helps service users to overcome difficulties, whilst also making sure that immediate risks are well managed.
As an NHS service provider, we have in place excellent quality monitoring and aim to work closely with family carers, commissioners and clinical teams to promote local community living.
