Waiting times
We know patients and their families are waiting longer than we would like. This is due to a variety of reasons including professionals recognising that there are more neurodivergent people than were previously understood, seeing people with increasingly complex needs and also because of an increase in demand on our service and our small team covering a large geographical area.
We're aware of this and have raised the issue to the highest level. We're working with our commissioners to identify ways to reduce the time people have to wait. We want to give you our very best service and we are sorry that we're not currently able to do this as quickly as we would like or you would need.
If you would like to give your feedback about your experience, there are a number of ways you can do this.
Your GP can write to us with a clinical reason to expedite a referral and we will review it. Unfortunately, as most of the individuals on our waiting list are experiencing similar difficulties we are rarely able to accommodate these requests.
Read our FAQs for more information about our waiting times.
