Are you new to using library services or has it been a while since you last used a library? We will introduce you to the full range of services that we have to offer and show you the search tools that will help you identify the information that you need.
We show you how to search for information effectively and efficiently. Our teaching follows a step-by-step approach, from navigating key online sources to searching for high quality evidence to inform patient care, service improvement, research and continuing professional development.

We show you how to critically appraise both quantitative and qualitative research and interpret medical statistics to make decisions about patient care or service development.
If you’re writing for publication or assignments or simply keeping track of your research, our session on using tools such as EndNote bibliography software is for you. We can also discuss the principles of referencing in different styles and how to avoid plagiarism.
