Clinical Health Psychology

Clinical Health Psychology Services are individual specialist services that assess and provide treatment for psychological issues which are linked to a physical health problem.

This can be psychological issues that contribute to the development of a physical health problem, maintain or exacerbate a physical health problem, or arise as a consequence of living with a physical health problem.

Our teams work with healthcare professionals, teams, patients and their families to offer a psychologically minded healthcare service.

What we do

We carry out assessments to identify needs and offer therapies which can be delivered individually, with couples, families, carers or in groups.

We work together with hospital teams and professionals to provide consultation, advice, reflective practice, supervision of psychological work, and provide teaching and training on psychological principles to improve health care.
