Apprenticeships

Our Trust apprenticeship vision is to create a sustainable long term investment in supporting the development of apprenticeship opportunities for new and existing staff. An apprenticeship offers an apprentice the chance to develop skills, knowledge and behaviours to deliver safe and effective patient care.

There are many benefits when considering an apprenticeship; each programme will allow the apprentice to:

  • Be recognised for the work you do
  • Gain valuable work experience
  • Develop job specific skills
  • Study whilst you are learning
  • Further career potential
  • Achieve nationally recognised qualifications

Apprentices are assessed at the programme end, along with an End-Point Assessment (EPA) to sign off all learning competencies. The length of the assessment will be dependent upon the level of qualification.

The trust offers a wide range of clinical and administrative based apprenticeship which range from a Level 2 (GCSE level) to a Level 7 at a Master Degree Level. A full range of opportunities can be viewed directly through the Institute of Apprenticeships.
