Meet the team…Frankie Wiseman

Frankie Wiseman.pngFrankie is the Patient Flow Manager and has been part of the team since the very start of the Provider Collaborative. Read on to learn more about Frankie's role, her passion for football and how - and why - she has walked in every county in England.

Tell us a bit about your role

My role is a bit of a mixture and unlike any other I've come across, which makes each day interesting and dynamic. The main parts of my role are the management of referrals and admissions across Kent, Surrey and Sussex secure services, oversight of discharge pathways including those with delayed pathways and trying to resolve systems pressures. I also support my colleagues with data analysis and performance reporting.

How long have you been in your role/working for the Provider Collaborative?

I joined in July 2018, when we were known as New Care Models. My role then was Assistant Programme Manager and I helped support the start-up of what is now the Provider Collaborative. I moved into the role of Patient Flow Manager in July 2020. It's been fascinating to work with so many different colleagues across the Provider Collaborative.

What's the favourite thing about your job?

My favourite thing is the positive outcomes for people, whether that is finding the right environment for admission or supporting colleagues with the discharge pathway. I have learned experience of a family member being admitted under the Mental Health Act so I always try to keep in mind how the person and their families must feel when we are discussing pathways etc.

What do you like to do outside of work?

I am a Season Ticket holder at Ipswich Town FC so I spend most of my Saturdays embracing the A12 and heading to Ipswich. When I'm not following the Tractor Boys, I can usually be found at another type of live sport or music event or spending time with family and friends.

Is there anything people would be surprised to know about you?

I am a sucker for a charity challenge. Over the past six years have raised over £5k for Cancer Research, Parkinsons UK and the Stroke Association doing ridiculous things like walking from London to Brighton, the South Coast Challenge and walking in every county in England. In October we're doing it again and taking on a 50km challenge on the North Downs!
