New toolkit for primary care: creating consistent mental health signposting advice for adults in Sussex

18 October 2024

Following the success of the new mental health signposting toolkit which was developed and shared with partners across Sussex in July, a new version has now been created and shared with colleagues working in primary care services.

Developed by the Mental Health Services Communications Working Group (MHSCWG), a collaboration of NHS, primary care, VCSE, local authority partners and people with lived experience, the new mental health signposting information has been co-produced by people with lived experience, carers, and service providers.

Written in a way that will help people find the right support and services based on how they are feeling rather than how the system of services is structured, the toolkits includes text for websites and social media graphics so that all providers of support and services are providing consistent information.

The working group is now working hard to develop a mental health campaign which will launch across Sussex in December. If you would like to know more about this work, or get involved, please email spft.communitytransformation@nhs.net.
