Eating Disorders service wins a prestigious HSJ award

24 March 2025

An innovative online eating disorders service has won an HSJ award for its outstanding contribution to healthcare.

Orri and Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust’s “Orri at Home” programme, won Best Provider of Mental Health Services at the 2025 HSJ Partnership Awards last week.

This initiative, an online treatment model for individuals with eating disorders, has expanded access to specialist mental health support, ensuring that more people receive the care they need. Their recognition as finalists in Best Consultancy Partnership with the NHS also highlights their ongoing work in transforming mental health services.

Dr Sara McCluskey, Consultant Psychiatrist for the Kent and Sussex Adult Eating Disorders Provider Collaborative, said: "We're delighted to be partnering with Orri to deliver this innovative service, which is receiving such wonderful feedback from people who need specialist support with eating disorders. The Orri service means that rather than be admitted to hospital for treatment, people can remain at home for their care, which helps them to feel more in control of their recovery. The virtual delivery means that people across Kent, Medway, and Sussex can access intensive treatment."

Kerrie Jones, CEO and Founder of Orri, said: "Too many individuals and families are left struggling to access timely, effective treatment.

At Orri, we believe that recovery is possible for all, and this award highlights our commitment to ensuring more people receive specialist, compassionate support when they need it."

These awards recognise pioneering collaborations that enhance efficiency, improve patient outcomes and strengthen healthcare services across the NHS. The winners were announced at an awards ceremony at Evolution London on 20 March 2025.
