Anti-racism statement

At Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, we are committed to providing inclusive and anti-racist healthcare services. We recognise that we must actively challenge interpersonal and systemic discrimination to improve the experience of our workforce and the communities we serve.

The Trust's Board have developed three specific actions to support this commitment:

  1. Always implement reasonable adjustments for staff and service users
  2. Develop and embed anti-racist practice consistently
  3. Implement a comprehensive support and resolution offer for every person who faces abuse, harassment and/or discrimination.

Inclusion is central to our values and behaviours, and we are dedicated to working together with our staff, service users and partners across the system to deliver against our commitment. We value our organisation's open and honest culture, and want everyone to feel safe, respected, and empowered to contribute.

We appreciate that moving from intent to impact will be a continuous journey, and we will use ongoing role-modelling, training, education and dialogue to ensure that we are driving meaningful change. We are confident that we can create a better future together.
